Our client is a fast-growing business supplying contractors to the financial services industry. Turnover has recently passed £5 million and the directors now need better management information to help identify the most profitable business areas and control costs. Their wish was for P&L information to be split across both major customer contracts and the major business streams.
We helped the finance team set up contract costing so that margin analysis can be obtained directly from Sage (previously data was re-entered onto excel spreadsheets) and set up a reporting structure to help monitor costs and margins across the different business areas.
The result: time saved on data input and better management information available instantaneously.
